Shane Fry [Humanoids of Huntsville]
/Shane Fry wasn’t sure what he wanted to do, but knew he needed to start something. An engineer with Raytheon, Shane was already working in an intrapreneurial environment at his day job. But for as long as he could remember, what he really wanted to be was an entrepreneur. “Since I was little, I’ve always wanted to start a business,” Shane says. “I’ve never had any sustainable idea. I was looking for an outlet to get out of the idea phase into the action phase.”
That outlet turned out to be CoWorking Night, where Shane started to meet like-minded dreamers who helped focus his fire. “I’ve probably thought about my idea more in the last four weeks than in the past two years,” he says. “Having that open discussion with Dan, Thom and others has reignited that fire. People are here not because they’re forced to be here. People are here because they have a desire—they have a passion for what they’re doing. They get surrounded by the people that have that same passion.”
