"It’s a different way of looking at the world," says Raeley Kenney Stevenson, whose own unique viewpoint is shaped in part by the contours of a camera lens. A photography student at The University of Alabama in Huntsville Raeley took the road less traveled and launched a professional photography business before graduation. And it's easy to understand why. To hear her tell it, seeing the world through a viewfinder helps bring the essence of her subjects into sharper focus. "It’s really exciting to summarize a person, or event, or a moment in one frame. It’s real—to watch this box and make sure everything is in its right place; to follow your instincts and then grab it, hold onto it, and know that you have it." www.raeleyart.com
