"There’s a disconnect between what students are learning in the classroom and what’s expected in the industry; education goes further than what is taught in the classroom. My purpose of coming to CoWorking Night is to expose myself to business leaders, whether in aviation, engineering, business, or technology, and take this back to my students in Huntsville City Schools in order to prepare them to build the local labor workforce. When you start to connect, you start to share knowledge, and when you do that you build community. Huntsville has the opportunity; I’d rather be part of a coalition to change the community than part of Atlanta, LA, or New York and another number.
